Russia 6 Roubles 1831 СПБ MS62. Bit# 57 (R2); 25 Roubles by Ilyin. 20,71g of Platinum (.950 standard). 2 784 coins known. NGC MS62. Very rare coin of the 1st and only platinum coins series of 19th century and till the 1970s. Platinum coins were very expensive to produce due to very tough metal structure so that was the only series 3-6-12 Roubles issued during Nicholas I reign to show the world the power and quality of St. Petersburg mint. Particulary this piece has never been auctioned and coming from the old collection from United States (from 1940s).
