Bitkin-537; Sev-290; Diakov-239,4; Uzd-0530; Dav-1650. Peter I. Type with G under the bust, for the French engraver Solomon Gouin. This pleasant specimen, fully equal to the Diakov plate coin, is well struck and attractively toned with traces of mint luster. The silver fineness of the 1712 roubles, along with those of 1714, was reduced and the coins were for that reason unpopular with the public. Few were saved and they are accordingly now very rare.
