This was a proposed design_x000D_ for new coinage that was struck at the Brussels mint but never_x000D_ approved for issue. Obv. Crowned double-headed Imperial eagle. Rev._x000D_ Date and value in wreath. Considerable original mint-red luster,_x000D_ with bold strike and only light marks. Most of what appear to be_x000D_ hairlines are actually scratches on the NGC holder. A Choice and_x000D_ rare Pattern issue.
